Kegman Inc., has been awarded the Management, Engineering & Research Concepts – Geophysical (MERC-G) contract. MERC-G is a four-year contract providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), Directorate of Nuclear Treaty Monitoring (TT). Work on this contract began on 3 January 2017.
AFTAC/TT plans, manages, and coordinates research and development and sustainment for all subsurface and near surface areas (seismic, hydroacoustic, and infrasonic) of the United States (US) Atomic Energy Detection System (US AEDS) and US National Data Center (US NDC) used in monitoring nuclear test ban treaties.
